Dieterich school board members received a clean audit at this week's meeting. Representatives of Kemper CPA Group reported no significant issues with the district operations.

The district received a 3.7 rating of a possible 4, and learned there was an increase of 10.13% in Equalized Assessed Valuation during the past fiscal year.

Also this week, South Central Basketball Officials Association President Gary Westjohn presented the Dieterich district with the Association's annual "Friends of the Game" award.

Dieterich Superintendent Cary Jackson reviewed the tentative tax levy. Jackson said the levy is very similar to those of the past. A hearing on the levy will take place at the Board's December meeting. Jackson also shared that Dieterich Elementary earned the designation of "Exemplary", while the Junior/Senior High received a "Commendable" designation.

The Dieterich board reviewed the annual school maintenance project grant that amounts up to $50,000. Possible projects this year at Dieterich could include tuckpointing, electrical work, ceiling tile replacement and window replacement. Also, both building principals Scott Kocher and Josh Benefiel reported on parent-teacher conference. The junior/senior contact rate was 32%, which was up 12% from last year, while the elementary contact rate was 96%, which is the same as last year.

Dieterich 6th grade teachers Devin McManaway and Pam Faller addressed the Board regarding current and proposed technology within the district. The teachers are suggesting a switch to GoGuardian and the Board will consider purchasing a subscription for the district.

Board members accepted a retirement letter from food service staff member Mary Ervin and accepted the resignation of Valerie Sanguinetti as junior high Scholar Bowl coach.
