Angela Adele Ohnesorge (nee Kull), age 81, a resident of Sun City, AZ since 2013, formerly of Merced, CA and Hinsdale, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at The Gardens Of Sun City after a two-year battle with brain cancer. She was born July 18, 1940 in Vandalia, IL. Adored wife of Larry, beloved mother of Brent (Wendy) Whiteside of Empire, MI and Corey (Ewa) Whiteside of Berlin, CT, stepmother to Travis (Jeniffer) and Toby (An) Ohnesorge of Houston, TX; cherished GrammyO to Caylie, Alina, and Addy Whiteside, Angiegrams to Abigail, Robert, and Elizabeth Ohnesorge, and GammieO to Emma, Ethan, and Ava Ohnesorge; former spouse of Peter Whiteside of Naples, FL, daughter of the late Woodrow and Vera Kull, dear sister of Lynn (Debra) and Tony Kull, aunt of Audrey (Lucas), the late Jordan, and Trenton (Amber) Kull; fond niece, cousin, great-aunt and friend of many.
Angela grew up in Altamont, IL attending Immanuel Lutheran Grade School and Altamont High School. She graduated from Bradley University in 1962 Magna Cum Laude. Angie was employed for many years as an Executive Assistant at McLane Company and Malibu Boats in Merced CA. She was a proud and vibrant member of American Lutheran Church in Sun City, playing key roles in social ministry and doting on the church courtyard flowers. Angie loved spending time with her toy poodle Murphy (and later, Tilly-O) and she crafted remarkable scrapbooks for herself and others. Her handwritten letters with impeccable cursive, will be greatly missed by all.
Memorial Service Monday, December 13, 2021, 11am at American Lutheran Church (live-stream online available at alcsuncity.org). A Funeral and Burial service will be announced at a later date for Immanuel Lutheran Church Altamont IL.
