Cheryl E. Mix (72) of Effingham

Cheryl E. Mix, 72 of Effingham, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Bailey Cemetery in rural Jasper County. Arrangements are in the care of Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham.

Cheryl was born February 26, 1952 in Effingham, the daughter of Elmer King and Phyllis (Shamhart) Hook. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Effingham, an avid reader, and enjoyed crafting.

Cheryl is survived by her son, Robert “Chuck” and daughter-in-law, Michelle Mix of Lees Summit, MO; daughter, Danielle King of Waxahachie, TX; granddaughter, Harper Rose Mix; stepmother, Susie King; and half-siblings, Betsy Miller, Marilyn Hoke, Mike King, Matt King, and John King.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Krystal Mix; her half-sibling, Charles “Chuck” Hook, and father to son, Robert L. Mix.
