Matz Reaches $44 Million Deal With Cardinals

Starting pitcher Steven Matz has reached a four-year, $44 million deal with the St. Louis Cardinals, ESPN reported Tuesday night.

The 30-year-old lefthander was 14-7 with the Toronto Blue Jays this past season with a 3.82 ERA, after six years with the New York Mets.
