The Neoga Indians saw their season come to an end in the championship game of the Windsor/Stew-Stras 1A boys regional Friday.

Neoga fell to Macon Meridian 73-67.

It was a battle early, as the teams were tied 21-21 after one quarter. Meridian outscored Neoga 18-9 in the second quarter to trail 39-30 at halftime, and Neoga was down 53-37 after three quarters.

Neoga wasn't done, though. The Indians poured in 30 points in the final period to 20 for Meridian to finish down by just six points at the end.

Neoga featured balanced scoring...Kaden Young with 19 points, Paci McClure with 18 points, and Quintin Richards with 17 points, but it wasn't enough. Also for Neoga: Brady Reynolds 6, Kyle Peters 5, and Luke Romack 2.

Neoga finished the season with a 16-17 record.
