Top-seeded Karolina Pliskova lost in the second round at the U.S. Open on Wednesday, falling to 50th-ranked Caroline Garcia 6-1, 7-6 (2). The day’s winners also included two-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka and the top seed among the men, Novak Djokovic.
